Step 1 - Measure Your Space
Updating your existing vanity cabinet is easy, however, before purchasing that vanity cabinet or vanity cabinet with vanity top, take the time to measure your available space. Remember, "Measure twice, cut once."
Start by measuring the width (W), followed by depth(D) and then height (H).
Keep in mind that vanity tops are usually 1" wider and deeper the vanity cabinet. For example, a 24” W x 21” D vanity cabinet
requires a 25” W x 22” D vanity top.

Helpful hints:
- Allow enough space for door openings
- Plumbing location may influence the vanity width
- Consider the location of existing mirrors, electrical outlets, switches and decorative wall treatments
Note: For typical building code compliance, leave at least 18” from the cabinet edge to the center line of the toilet.
